Welcome to our museum! The SEV Virtual Museum was designed to share the storied history of the Health and Education Foundation institutions going back to the 1800s, allowing you to take a unique historical journey. Our goal in planning this journey is to provide information and share knowledge about our institutions to with future generations, as well as our graduates, members of the SEV family, volunteers, and all other visitors to our site.
All institutions in the SEV Virtual Museum have a deep-rooted history in Turkey and are symbols of success each in their own right. Many people and organizations have contributed to the evolution of these institutions from the 1800s to the present day through their direct efforts and endless support. Each photograph, document, object, and interview you see as you go through our museum has a fascinating story to tell and monumental value. We worked to describe the photographs you will observe in our museum as relevant to their periods as possible. You can find these photos on the timeline. In addition, there are several lovely photographs in our collection whose dates and periods are unknown. In order not to deprive the viewer of these, we have placed the photographs of which period and explanation are not known in our window flowing on the main page. This project is intended to honor our legacy in the way it deserves and look forward to your continued support of the museum.
Finally, above all, we would like to thank the American Board of Trustees (ABH) and its representatives who have made the greatest contribution to the establishment, development, and preservation of our institutions. From their beginnings to the present day, we are grateful to all the people who have worked in our institutions and continue to serve on a voluntary basis. We also thank the Health and Education Foundation Board of Trustees and Board of Directors, Elizabeth and Kenneth Frank, who conducted many interviews for this project, and the SEV Virtual Museum team for their contributions.
We hope you have a pleasant journey into the past in our museum...
